10.3 Probability Representations

10.3 Representation Activity: Assigned Groups You will be assigned to a group 1. Favorite Color 2. Are you a Lefty or a Righty 3. Do you eat breakfast or not? 4. Dog owners, cat owners, or both? Please get into your assigned groups. Go over your problem, make sure everyone in your group understands how to represent ALL the data in a 1) tree diagram, 2) venn diagram, 3) 2 way table, and 4) Probability statements. Create the assigned diagram to present to the class. (each group) List the probability statements and each person in the group is responsible to present one Probability statement, showing where it is located on the diagram. Each group must have a union and intersection statement.

HW 10.3 Titanic Activity Part 1 Create a 1) tree diagram, 2) venn diagram, and 3) 2 way table for the relationships between survival and gender. Part 2 1.Create a 2 way table for the survival and each class of passengers (1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd ). 2. Check the independence of each class, P(A∩B) = P(A)(B). *if they are equal then they have independence. *This will be homework if you do not finish in class.
