This is the third most common type of cancer in women. Not so much how ever, in the United States. It is cancer in the cervix.

Cervical cancer is almost always caused by HPV. There are many other risk that increases the chance of getting this cancer such as sex at an early age, multiple sex partners, or partner(s) who participate in high risk sexual activities. There is also other risk like not receiving the HPV vaccine, poor economic status, or weekend immune systems.

The women with the cancer may not be allowed to be sexually active unless told by a doctor otherwise.

With any cancer the body tries to but in common cases it will need help from medicine and other treatments.

When the cancer first starts, it is precancerous called dysplasia. In this stage, it is 100% treatable. When the cancer takes full effect, then the treatments and to cure it depends on the stage, size or shape of tumor, woman’s age and health, and the desire to have children in the future. Treatments include surgery, external radiation, internal radiation, and extreme surgeries.
