ME203, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DRAWING AND GRAPHICS Semester-2 Year

Introduction to Solid Modeling Using SolidWorks, 2/e Ed Howard, Milwaukee School of Engineering Joseph Musto, Milwaukee School of Engineering

LEARN. CREATE. SUCCEED.

The Course Approaches Solid Modeling as a Design Tool for Engineering and Avoids Being Only a Training Manual for SolidWorks.

Additional Resources: At

Introduction: 15 years ago, 3-D modeling software was very expensive. $50,000 or more was required for every workstation with software. The SolidWorks® program was among the first solid modeling programs written for Windows in 1995

Engineering Design and Solid Modeling: Engineering Design is a process in which fundamentals of math and science are applied to the creation or modification of a product to meet a set of objectives. After World War II, product cycle performed sequentially. From the 1970s through the 1990s, the concept of concurrent engineering became widespread.
