“Rich” By: Ashleigh Thomas

Dictionary Definitions Having wealth or great possessions; abundantly supplied with resources, means, or funds; wealthy (Dictionary.com) Having wealth or valuable resources (Dictionary.com) Having abundant possessions and especially material wealth (Webster’s Dictionary)

Real Life Definitions Being happy in whatever circumstance, being fulfilled or satisfied Having your loved ones around Living a long, healthy life A life rich with love and happiness

Do You Consider Yourself Rich… Because you drive a nice car? Because you wear all designer clothes? Because you live in a large home? Because you have everything that money can buy?

Or Do You Consider Yourself Rich … Because you are surrounded by your loved ones? Because you don’t have everything you want, but everything you need, and that makes you happy? Because you are healthy and have your whole life ahead of you? Because you love your life and are content with it?

There are many more factors to being “Rich” than money or possessions, though many dictionary definitions leave out anything that has to do with love, happiness, or health. You can not describe a person as rich in one word, there are so many different aspects. Who really can decide if a person is rich or not? Money is not the only way to determine if someone is rich, a person’s level of happiness, level of health, and overall satisfaction with life are far better determinants of someone who is truly rich.
