Abel’s sacrifice was offered by faith Heb.11:4– “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain…” cf.Heb.11:6; Rom.10:17 Abel’s works were righteous 1 Jn.3:12– “… wherefore slew he him? Because his works were evil, and his brother's righteous.” cf.Heb.11:4; Lk.1:6 Abel’s offering was pleasing to God Gen.4:4– God “… had respect unto Abel and to his offering:” cf.1 Jn.3:22
