13 The importance of reflection Reflecting on learning helps thinking and learning. Reflection is particularly important when tackling challenging tasks. Thinking about learning is hard without words. Opportunities for reflection need to be planned. Reflection promotes skills needed both for tests and for meeting challenges in everyday life.
