Thameslink route PPM improving TL PPM (Public Performance Measure = arrival within 5 minutes of timetable) has been above target for five out of seven periods so far this year, including the last three PPM for Period 7 was 92.21%, 1.74% better than target Average PPM for the year to date is 91.16% compared with 90.00% last year The largest delay in Period 7 occurred during the morning peak on 4 October due to points failure at Kentish Town, resulting in 1,509 delay minutes and 42 trains cancelled A suicidal person at Cricklewood on 6 October caused 390 delay minutes

Station enhancements in London Borough of Merton In Merton FCC trains serve Haydons Road, Mitcham Eastfields, Mitcham Junction, Morden South, St Helier, South Merton, Tooting, Wimbledon and Wimbledon Chase stations All except Mitcham Eastfields, Mitcham Junction and Wimbledon are managed by FCC Customer Information Screen software has recently been updated across the entire TL route, allowing more accurate information and fewer late notice platform alterations FCC will repaint all the stations managed by us by February Merton stations are expected to be repainted before Christmas 2010

Thameslink Proramme Progress All 23 new Class 377 Electrostars delivered Another 2,400 seats from Dec 09 timetable 5,000 more seats now year on year Number of short 4-car peak trains halved All future spending is subject to the outcome of the Comprehensive Spending Review. Details for the Thameslink Programme are still awaited

London Blackfriars Progress Works at London Blackfriars station are progressing well London Blackfriars to close on 20 November for 8 weeks We are now preparing for the run through period from 20th November 2010 when, for eight weeks, trains will run through Blackfriars and not call. Customers are advised to use City Thameslink After the run through, NR will continue to work on the western side of the bridge whilst FCC trains run through on the east. Both the LUL and FCC stations along with main entrance remain on track to open December 2011, with the bay platforms and substantial completion of the station scheduled for May 2012

New Drivers We have an ongoing programme of driver recruitment to increase the number of fully productive drivers and reduce our reliance on rest day and overtime working Since March 2010 we have recruited 72 drivers to enter our training program 6 have passed out on the Thameslink route with a further 33 in training. The trainees will progressively become qualified to drive with the last passing out by May 2011 New drivers take around 14 months to qualify so recruitment is an ongoing process
