The test on potato was conducted in collaboration the Plant Protection Service of Emilia Romagna. Trials Pochar testing on Potato: check of efficiency and application

Potato test 2014 was conducted in collaboration the Plant Protection Service of Emilia Romagna Evaluation of the efficacy Pochar Greenspore line on Patata - Codigoro Loc. Valle Giralda (Ferrara) Crop: Potato Var. Hermes (industry) Microspore products tested: Pochar Nutryaction

In this experiment we wanted to highlight the effectiveness of the formulation Pochar on the control of nematode population in the cultivation of the potato, compared to the control in which the company has not been performed treatments. Overview and objective The product has been tested several times in vegetable crops in greenhouses, then there has been the effectiveness of the formulation in an arable farming with new application methods than normal use in fertigation.

Experimental setup and intervention N.W.: the trial was set to a sample collection using a simple randomization scheme with three replications.

Damage by root-knot nematodes on Potato Affected Tubers Healthy Tubers

Results: Degree of infestation of nematodes N.W. The sampling began after one month by the application of the product with spryer machine. The first sampling was performed during the step of stolons emission and did not indicate the presence of specific adults and significant and meaningful differences. – Analysis carried out by the Plant Protection Service of Emilia Romagna (second sample) Untreated

Results: % Damage to tubers at harvest Untreated

ConclusioniConclusioni We can assert that the administration of Pochar on potato grown in open fields has been very effective in controlling the spread of nematodes, especially in their early stage of major development, that is late (from June onwards), due to the rainy and cold weather conditions. This was confirmed by analysis of the Plant Protection Service of the Emilia Romagna Region show that the low proportion of adults in the early stages of the production cycle. The method of application Pochar in the open field was effective and practical in use.
