 Spatial Inequality means the unequal distribution of wealth or recourses in a geographic area, so that some places are richer than others.

 Poor people in Mexico have poor living conditions. They often lack running water, electricity, plumbing and money. They often have little or no jobs and have to beg for a living. They barely have any food.

 People in poor Detroit have it better than Mexico, but they still have bad living conditions. They have lots of things, but they lack money. They don’t pay their bills. Also, they have very low paying jobs that don’t give them enough money to live. They sometimes don’t have good or enough food.

People in rich Mexico have very good living conditions. Their houses are very big and they have security systems to protect against crime. They also have water and all of the things they need.

People in rich Detroit are very fortunate. They have running water, electricity and plenty of food. These people have good paying jobs and they often have extra money so they can buy other things for themselves that they don’t really need, like toys or purses.
