SAFETEA-LU Extension o President Obama signed the extension on March 4, 2011 o Extends Coordinated Border Infrastructure (CBI) Funds
FY 2011 Budget President Obama signed FY 2011 Budget on Friday, April 15 th, Current budget will expire at the end of September, 2011.
President’s FY 2012 Budget Proposal 2012 Budget Request includes a total of $129 Billion for USDOT o $556 Billion Six –Year surface reauthorization request o $50 Billion “Up-Front” economic boost to foster job creation o $2.2 B for “Cross-Border” Transportation to improve the condition of LPOEs facilities at border crossing locations
FY 2012 Budget o The U.S. House passed 2012 Budget Blueprint that cuts $6.2 Trillion over next 10 years Reduces 30% from current baseline levels From $58 Billion to $40.5 Billion Eliminates General Fund transfers into the Highway Trust Fund
