The Selfish Giant. By Oscar Wilde

Chapter One 1 The children go and play in the giant’s garden every afternoon, after school. 2 The garden is very beautiful, it has a soft grass and many coloured flowers.

Chapter two 1 One day the giant comes back and he doesn’t like that the children are playing in his garden: he is very egoist. 2 The poor children run away frightened by his shouts. Then he builds a high wall all around his garden and now they have nowhere to play.

Chapter three 2 The giant is warried because in his garden is always winter. One morning he hears a bird’s song he thinks it’s a very lovely music because spring has come back and he goes to the window… 1 When the spring arrives, in the giant’s garden is still winter because spring doesn’t want to go into it because the giant is too selfish; the snow and the frost are happy

Chapter four 2 The giant helps that child and the spring arrives also on that tree; so he knoks down the wall.Every evening the children go to the giant to say good bye. But there isn’t the little child The giant looks for him but nobody knows that little child 1 And he sees many children who are coming into the garden through a little hole in the wall A little child is sitting in every tree, but a little boy can’t climb up on the tree and on it it’s still winter.

Final Chapter 2 The child says: << theese are marks of love>> and << you let me play in your garden, today you are coming with me in my garden>> 1 One day, when the giant is old, the famous child goes to the garden and the giant sees he has got the marks on the hands and on the feets 3 At the end the giant is lying dead under the tree all covered with white flowers

THE END Thank you!!!! Valentina Rosa
