Getting to know the Skinny Welshman Upbringing - Grandparents - Vision

Reading - Matthew 9: While he was saying this, a ruler came and knelt before him and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live.” 19 Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples. 20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” 22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed from that moment. 23 When Jesus entered the ruler's house and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd,24 he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him.25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. 26 News of this spread through all that region.

Matthew 9: Bleeding 12 Years +Came up behind him +Touched his cloak Matt 14:34-36 Mark 5: Care of Many Doctors +Spent all she had +Grew worse not better +Immediately bleeding stopped +Jesus said Power left Him +He forced her to tell her story Luke 8: Crushing crowds +Disciples were Welsh +She could not go unnoticed - came trembling and shared her story

How it might be with Ipswich ? The churches comes to Jesus to heal a 12 year old child who is about to die. Jesus agrees to help - ‘Jesus went with him’. There are many interruptions on the journey, sometimes hope was lost. If we live in a place of faith we will see Miracles inside Miracles. On the Journey the miracle we didn’t hope for, could bring a bigger breakthrough than the one we did hope for. Our perspective is distorted by our humanity and corruption of sin, the older we get the less we innocence we have. Sometimes the only choice we have left is to step out in faith - otherwise we die.

Who were you in this picture ? Were you Jirus, who is so desperate for his child he would do anything ? Were you the disciples that were just trying to protect Jesus from society ? Were you the woman with the issue of blood, in desperate need of a miracle ? Were you the doubting bystanders at Jirus’ house who had to be put outside ? Were you in the crowd simply watching what was happening ? Were you the child, who everyone thought was dead, but you are sleeping ? Were you in Gennesaret who later received the benefit of what happened ?

Good Night....
