TRAINING FOR LIFE:LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE FOR EUROPE Strategy, Self-discipline CLIP activities 3.project meeting,Portugal,February I.gimnazija Osijek

STRATEGY,SELF-DISCIPLINE Each chapter was taught in 3 different classes(during English lessons–class 2.e and head teacher lessons- class 1.f and 2.b), around 75 students were included in the lessons. Each chapter was discussed for 90 minutes. I.gimnazija Osijek

After each chapter all students wrote essays or did tasks on given topics ( some wrote it in English, some in Croatian). The essays were graded and some were uploaded on the project website. I.gimnazija Osijek

CLIP ACTIVITIES 1.The whole school continued collecting plastic corks(an activity started in October). The collected money that we get will be given to an NGO that takes care of people with malignant diseases. I.gimnazija Osijek

2. Our school took part in a big Christmas charity action organised by an NGO from our town. The NGO collected Christmas wishes of poor children, our students made posters where their wishes were displayed and the whole school tried to make their wishes come true(by donating or buying things they wished for). I.gimnazija Osijek

3. Class 2.e, in cooperation with Red Cross, organised voluntary blood donation for our students, teachers and other citizens. They made fliers which were distributed in school and in the town center. Newspaper articles: mailto: roditelji-i-profesori-darivali-krv mailto: 50 I.gimnazija Osijek

4. Our students, their Art teacher and our librarian organised two Christmas workshops- they were making Christmas decorations. Then they organised a Christmas fair in front of our school. The collected money was given to an NGO called Betlehem, which takes care of single mothers. I.gimnazija Osijek

5. Class 4.d established a mini-project called Creativity vs.Technology. They want to show young people how they can use their free time creatively instead spending it in front of their computers. As their first activity, they organised a few Christmas workshops in cooperation with a few primary schools and with the Social Care Home(Home for abandoned children). Newspaper article: mailto: 8 I.gimnazija Osijek

They sold the decorations in the shopping center and bought presents for children from the Home(they asked them what they needed). I.gimnazija Osijek

7. We also took part in a Caritas charity action. All students bought bracelets with different positive messages. Money was donated to poor families. I.gimnazija Osijek
