©SHRM Introduction This presentation focuses on types of leave and absence programs many employers use today for paid and unpaid time off, including statutory leave programs required under federal and/or state leave laws and brief info for disaster management. Subsequent to the leaves/absence overview, the presentation progresses to a discussion of procedural and verification issues in conforming leaves and absences to your company policies. This is a sample presentation that must be customized to include and match the employer’s own policies and practices.
