Cerflon® HFRR (High Frequency Reciprocating Rig) Tests The following HFRR tests were conducted in 2004 and show “Coefficient of Friction” measurements with Cerflon® in oil alone and also with and without anti-wear additives and friction modifiers at varying temperatures. They were conducted on both steel and ceramic materials and the results speak for themselves, especially with the ceramic. HFRR is a micro processor-controlled reciprocating friction and wear test system that provides a fast, repeatable assessment of the performance of fuels and lubricants. It is particularly suitable for boundary friction measurements of engine oils, greases and other compounds. It is also used for boundary friction coefficient measurements for automobile fuel economy modeling.
