Animals of the Savanna Some animals in the Savanna are the zebra, lion, wildebeest, and the gazelle. A gazelle is like a deer. A wildebeest is cattle with curved horns, a lion is a big cat that’s considered to be the king of the animals, and a zebra is a striped horse.

Tribes in the Savanna There are the Dorobo, Maasai, and the Kikuyu. The Dorobo are hunter-gathers, the Maasai are herdsmen and the Kikuyu are farmers.

Vegetation Some vegetation in the Savanna are the red oat grass, the rabbit tail fountain grass, the Baobab tree and the Acacia tree. The Acacia tree blooms yellow or white fuzzy flowers.
