A deep narrow valley with steep sides and often with a stream flowing through it. You can find the Grand Canyon in Arizona.

Coast An area where land meets the ocean.Coast can be very rocky or sandy. You can find coast in Florida or Mexico.

A desert is a land with very warm climate and receiving less than 10 inches of rain a year. A desert can be found in Arizona

A part of an ocean or sea extending into the land. You can find a gulf in Mexico.

Island A island is small land surrounded by water. Hawaii is a island

Lake A body of fresh water or considerable size surrounded by land. Lake Michigan is a lake.

Volcano A volcano is a landform where molten rock erupts through the surface of the planet. You can find a volcano in Hawaii.

Mountain A landmass that projects conspicuously above its surroundings and is higher than a hill. You can find a mountain in Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, New Mexico and more.

Ocean A whole body of salt water that covers nearly 3 fourths of the earth surface. There are two oceans the Atlantic ocean and the Pacific ocean.
