Ostriches live in Africa. But today you can find them in Asia or in Australia too. They can cause serious problems and death with kicks from their legs. Their legs can only kick forward. It’s just a myth that ostriches bury their heads in sand to avoid danger.

They are found worldwide, mostly in the shallower seas eating mostly fish and squid. Militaries use dolphins for finding mines and rescuing lost or trapped humans.

Most of the sixty species of eagles are from Eurasia and Africa. But there are two species (the Bald Eagle and Golden Eagle) in the United States and Canada and nine species in Central America and South America, and three species in Australia. The coat of arms of Russia has a gold double-headed eagle. The Great Seal of the United States has a bald eagle.

They spend about half of their lives on land and half in the oceans. Most penguins feed on fish, squid and other forms of sealife caught while swimming underwater.

They can be small of only 17 centimeters in length, to the whale shark, the largest fish in the world, which reaches approximately 12 meters. Sharks are found in all seas and are common to depths of 2,000 meters.
