Lightning Dave Kyle

What is lightning Lightning separates negative and positive charges. The ground is also positive charge. When they collide it causes lightning. Lightning is mostly just electricity

Types of lightning Cloud to ground strikes Cloud to cloud strikes In cloud lightning Sheet lightning Ribbon lightning Bead lightning Ball lightning Bolt from the blue

Cloud to ground strikes Lightning that strikes from the cloud to the ground.

Cloud to cloud strikes Lightning strikes from one cloud to another

In cloud lightning It strikes between positive and negative charge centers inside the thunderstorm

Sheet lightning Lightning on the inside that lights up an entire cloud.

Ribbon lightning This Is when lightning strikes the ground and wind blows the flash making it look like more than just one strike of lightning

Ball lightning When lightning is in one big ball in the clouds. Lasts for like 3 seconds.

Here’s um a…. thingy disasters/lightning-profile.html?nav=A-Z
