Peacocks

What is a Peacock? A peacock is a pheasant, also called a bird. The males are traditionally called peacocks and the females are called peahens. The male peacocks are the colorful birds, while the females are usually neutral colors. What are neutral colors? Peacocks come in many colors. Some are mostly blues, some are mostly greens, some are white, and some are mostly browns. Peacocks can be found on most continents in the world. How many continents are there, and which one would be too cold for the peacock to live on?

What’s Special About the Peacock? The peacock is very brightly colored, using mostly cool colors (blues, greens, and violets). The peacock is made up of many shapes. It uses organic shapes and also geometric shapes. The peacock is full of textures, such as the feathers in the tail, the feathers on the body, and the feathers on the head. His beak is also a different texture.

Peacock Feathers What kind of shapes are in these feathers? Are they organic or geometric? What kinds of lines are in these feathers? Are peacocks covered with these types of feathers?
