This is Brennan

Brennan has many friends. His friends are all different sizes.

Rodney Rabbit is a small friend.

Chuck Chipmunk is even smaller

But Max Mouse is the smallest of Brennan’s friends

One day, Brennan went to visit Max Mouse. Max had red spots all over his face and he looked very sad. Brennan asked, “What’s wrong, Max?” “Oh, Brennan! I have the chicken pox and I can’t leave my mouse hole for a whole week. And, Christmas is almost here! Since I can’t leave, I can’t get a Christmas tree. I’m so sad!

Brennan replied, “Don’t worry, Max. I’ll get a tree for you.” So, Brennan left to find the perfect tree for Max. First, He looked at three trees.

“Hmmmm,” said Brennan. “This tree is small.”

“This tree is even smaller…”

“This tree is the smallest of them all, and since Max’s mouse hole is very, very small, I’ll take this tree to him.”

Next, Brennan looked at the stars for the top of the tree.

“This star is small…”

“And this star is smaller…”

“This star is the smallest, so I’ll take it. It will fit perfectly on Max’s small tree.”

Next, Brennan looked at the lights.

“These lights are small…”

“These lights are even smaller…”

“But these lights are the smallest. I think I’ll buy the smallest lights.”

The last things Brennan looked at were ornaments.

“These ornaments are small. These are smaller. But these ornaments are the smallest. I’ll buy the smallest ornaments for Max’s tree.”

Brennan took everything he had bought to Max’s mouse hole.
