Colimix 120 Sintofarm (Colistin sulphate)

Colistin is a polypeptide antibiotic, was obtained from a fermentation broth inoculated with Bacillus polimyxa var. colistinus which had been isolated from soil sampled of Fukushima Prefecture, Japan.

Anti-bacterial spectrum Gram-negative : E.Coli Shigella spp Salmonella spp Enterobacter spp Pseudomonas aeruginosa Klebsiella pneumoniae Campylobacter (vibrio) coli. Colimix 120 Sintofarm

Characteristics : 1)Colistin is effective against Gram – bacteria such as E.Coli and Salmonella.Colistin is effective against Gram – bacteria such as E.Coli and Salmonella. 2)Colistin does not select resistant bacteria in vivo and its resistance is not transferred by the R-factor.Colistin does not select resistant bacteria in vivo and its resistance is not transferred by the R-factor. 3)Colistin is not absorbed from the digestive tract of poultry hence no residue is observe.Colistin is not absorbed from the digestive tract of poultry hence no residue is observe. 4)Colistin has a synergistic effect against bacteria when used in combination with Zinc-bacitracin.Colistin has a synergistic effect against bacteria when used in combination with Zinc-bacitracin. 5)Colistin is effective as a growth promoter for broiler. It is also used in the prevention and control of infectious enteritis in broiler.Colistin is effective as a growth promoter for broiler. It is also used in the prevention and control of infectious enteritis in broiler. Colimix 120 Sintofarm

Synergism and Antagonism : Colistin is compatible with tetracyclines, sulfas, imidazoles, Lincomycin and common feed additives. Sometimes is showed a good synergism with some antibiotics particularly with bacitracin. There are no experiences of antagonist effects between Colistin and other antibiotics. Palatability : No "medicinal taste" to deter sick animals from eating or drinking. Colimix 120 Sintofarm

Combination use of Colistin sulphate and Zinc bacitracin show the followings: 1)They have a mutually compensating antibacterial spectrumn. They have a mutually compensating antibacterial spectrumn. 2)Synergistic action against many bacteria in the digestive tractSynergistic action against many bacteria in the digestive tract Colimix 120 Sintofarm + Zinc bacitracin Colistin Sulphate premix

Colimix 120 premix is : For prevention and control of infectious enteritis in broilers and layers.(E.Coli,Salmonella) For improving feed efficiency and weight gain. Colimix 120 premix is a barrier against enteritis from E.Coli and Salmonella in poultry Colimix 120 Sintofarm

Colimix 120 pemix is : SAFE  Because it is not absorbed Because it is not absorbed  Because it leaves no residues in the meat Because it leaves no residues in the meat  Because it does not present problem of resistance Because it does not present problem of resistance  Because it does not present problem of toxicity Because it does not present problem of toxicity  Because it can be associated with all other antibiotics and sulfa –drugs Because it can be associated with all other antibiotics and sulfa –drugs STABLE  In the premix for months In the premix for months  In the feed for at least 6 months In the feed for at least 6 months  In mineral feed for at least 4 months In mineral feed for at least 4 months Colimix 120 Sintofarm

Effective  Because of its activity against Gram - bacteria, specially E.Coli and Salmonella, even if they are resistant to other antibacterial substances Because of its activity against Gram - bacteria, specially E.Coli and Salmonella, even if they are resistant to other antibacterial substances  Because it not only checks but treats the disease Because it not only checks but treats the disease  Because it improves animal performance Because it improves animal performance  Because of its bactericide action at low dosage(5-8 mg /kg live weight) Because of its bactericide action at low dosage(5-8 mg /kg live weight)  Because it acts rapidly and can be used in periods when the sanitary risk is higher Because it acts rapidly and can be used in periods when the sanitary risk is higher Colimix 120 Sintofarm

Poultry : For prevention of intestinal diseases (diarrhea) g/ton of complete feed. Poultry : For therapy g/ton of complete feed for 5-15 days Colimix 120 Sintofarm

Composition for kg : Colistin sulphate 120 g Carrier up to 100 g Withdrawal period : 5 days Storage : keep in dry place and avoid light Shelf life : 24 months Packaging : 25 kg bags Colimix 120 Sintofarm

Colimix 120 premix Sintofarm has : 1)Broad antibiotic spectrum – has strong activity on gram-negative bacteria such as E.Coli, Salmonella ecc. 2)Strong bactericidal capacity-its effect mechanism is to block cell membrane selective permeation function. 3)Good compatibility- better effectiveness in combination with gram-positive bacteria drug 4)Good stability-it is not affected by feed, enzyme and secretive substance. 5)Good security- no side effect, no residue Colimix 120 Sintofarm
