2) neither 还可以用于 neither... nor... 结 构中,意为 “ 既不 …… ,也不 ……” , 在句子中连接两个并列的成分。当它 连接两个并列的主语时,谓语动词一 般要和邻近的主语在数上一致。如: Neither Tom nor I like playing basketball. 我和汤姆都不喜欢打篮球。

6. “But what…?” 但是什么? 这里 Betty 说 But what…? 是在追问 Tony 没说完的内容。如: —The new teacher has a good way of teaching. But… 新来的老师课讲的好, 不过 …… — But what…? 不过什么? — But he’s too serious, I think. 不过他太严肃了,我觉得。
