Recent History Two bills AB1943 and SB361 –Both authored in cooperation with CCCCO and constituencies. Need for change also stemmed from: –multiple ASCCC resolutions –general and repetitive confusion –common interest in the field

Section § Types of Courses Appropriate to the Associate Degree. “During the first phase of revisions to chapter 6, the language of this section was modified to limit the scope of subdivision (c) to English composition courses. However, it has been concluded that this was erroneous and that reading courses should also fall under that provision. The amendments will accomplish this. ”

§58160 Noncredit Course Funding Cleanup language to address SB 361 Spells out the ten noncredit course categories eligible for apportionment
