Yes/No It is rather impolite to answer a question with only yes or no… So please answer in short sentences, repeating the 1st verb in the question. For example: Is that a good idea? Yes, it is. Imperative If you want to say that someone has to do something (an order, advice, instruction or warning) you start your sentence with the verb.
