Abstract  The shape of library collections and the needs of their uses have outpaced the development of adequate technology support components in recent years. Marshall Breeding will present his view of the current state of the art of library management systems, the role of discovery products to improve end-user experiences, and give some perspective on what's emerging in the near future in technology products that address these concerns
