2 Two Important Questions John 7:11-18 Who is Jesus Christ?  An impossible answer … “a good man”!  Jesus’ teaching was egocentric.  Special relationship to the Father – Abba  The “I am” sayings – especially John 14:6  Considered O.T. Scripture to be about Him  Proclaimed to be able to forgive sin  Openly proclaimed to be God

3 Two Important Questions John 7:11-18 Who is Jesus Christ?  Three possibilities 1. Jesus was crazy or possessed. (v. 20)  Does Jesus act or speak like one who is crazy?  Is other’s reaction to Him like one who is crazy? 2. Jesus was a deceiver. (v. 12)  If this is true, He was the best deceiver ever!  If this is true, He was the worst deceiver ever!

4 Two Important Questions John 7:11-18 Who is Jesus Christ?  Three possibilities 3. Jesus is who He said He was!  He is God and we should follow Him.  Do you believe that?  Are you running from this fact?  Are you intellectually convinced of this truth yet not fully committed?

6 Two Important Questions John 7:11-18 Is Jesus’ Teaching True?  A few conclusions 1.There is no satisfaction in man’s doctrine. 2.There is ultimate satisfaction in God’s doctrine. 3.We can be sure of the truth of God’s doctrine.
