WORLD COMMUNION SUNDAY Today we join in one voice with the diverse communities of our Christian faith around the world. Together with men, women, teens and children in every nation, we jointly lift our praise and thanksgiving to the Lord. We do this through music, prayer, proclamation of the Word, responding from our personal resources, and joining around the Communion Table. Together we will remember the death, the resurrection and the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

THE CALL TO WORSHIP World Communion Sunday [ Pastor / CONGREGATION ] Jesus calls us to unity when He says to us: “WHERE TWO OR THREE ARE GATHERED IN MY NAME, I AM WITH THEM;” (Matthew 18:20) Again, Jesus pleads for unity when He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane: “THAT THEY MAY ALL BE ONE;” (John 17:21)

The first century Church sets the example for us to be ONE with each other: “THOSE WHO BELIEVED WERE OF ONE HEART AND MIND;” (Acts 4:32) The Apostle calls for us to be ONE with each other: “THERE IS ONE BODY AND ONE SPIRIT; THERE IS ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM; THERE IS ONE GOD AND FATHER OF ALL, WHO IS OVER ALL, THROUGH ALL AND IN ALL.” (Ephesians 4:4-6)

We lift up our praise and thanksgiving to God for the One who brings all believers everywhere into one body, from all cultures, all races, and all generations: THAT ONE IS OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, SON OF GOD, REDEEMER, WHO WAS CRUCIFIED, RISEN AND IS COMING AGAIN !

THE OPENING HYMN #401 THE CHURCH’S ONE FOUNDATION

(1) The Church's one foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord. She is His new creation by water and the word. From heaven He came and sought her to be His holy bride. With His own blood He bought her, and for her life He died.

(2) Elect from every nation, yet one o'er all the earth, her charter of salvation: one Lord, one faith, one birth. One holy name she blesses, partakes one holy food, and to one hope she presses, with every grace endued.

(3) Mid toil and tribulation, and tumult of her war, she waits the consummation of peace forevermore: till with the vision glorious her longing eyes are blest, and the great church victorious shall be the church at rest.

(4) Yet she on earth has union with God, the Three in One, and mystic sweet communion with those whose rest is won: O happy ones and holy! Lord, give us grace that we, like them, the meek and lowly, may live eternally.

SILENT PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING AND CONFESSION THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON Romans 15:5-6 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement, give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

‘THE GLORIA PATRI’ Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen. Ἀ μήν. Ἀ μήν. LATIN Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto, Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen. Amen.

THE APOSTLES’ CREED I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;

From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic 1 Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen 1- catholic means “universal”

THE HOLY SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 12:1-3 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us THROW OFF EVERYTHING THAT HINDERS and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with PERSEVERANCE the race marked out for us.

Let us FIX OUR EYES ON JESUS, the author and perfecter of our faith, who, for the joy set before Him, endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

THE SERMON CROSSING THE FINAL FINISH LINE WITH A BIG SMILE Hebrews 12:1-3 Bayshore Gardens Community Church Dr. Daniel Herlein

Run the race WITH PERSEVERENCE (ύπoμέvώ) “Hupomeno” ACTIVE PRO-ACTIVE PERSEVERENCE PATIENCE ENDURANCE

TO MY ENEMY... With Jesus Christ as >> my coach >> my example, >> my strength, >> my Savior, YOU DON’T SCARE ME. YOU WILL NEVER TURN ME BACK. YOU WILL NEVER INTIMIDATE ME. YOU WILL NEVER TAKE AWAY MY HOPE.

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

It will be worth it all when we see Jesus, Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ; One gliimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase, So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s Prayer OUR FATHER, WHO ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME. THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD, AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS; AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL. FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY FOREVER AMEN.

(1) In Christ there is no East or West In Him no South or North; But one great fellowship of love Throughout the whole wide earth. (2) In Him shall true hearts everywhere Their high communion find; His service is the golden cord Close binding humankind.

(3) It is by grace we are assured that we belong to Him; The love we share in Christ our Lord His Spirit works within. (4) In Christ there is no East or West, He breaks all barriers down; By Christ redeemed, By Christ possessed, In Christ we live as one.

(5) Join hands then everyone of faith What-e’er your place may be; Who serves my Father as a child, Is surely kin to me. (6) In Christ now meet both East and West In Him meet South and North. All Christly souls are one in Him Throughout the whole wide earth.
