Grant Types District Grants Uses up to 50% of years DDF allocation Global Grants (Two Types) Club and District Developed – using DDF & Rotarian Funds Packaged Global Grants –(Fully funded by Foundation)

District Grants Local decision making with broader guidelines Single grant awarded annually Smaller activities and projects Fund both local or international activities Simple, flexible, innovative Activities consistent with the mission

District Grant Process District Governor, District Rotary Foundation Chair (DRFC) District Grants Subcommittee Chair(DGSC) Consult on District needs Set maximum allocation per club $5,000 as guideline for $3,000-to-$4,000 possible guideline for

District Grant Process 1.DGSC distributes District Grant Applications. 2.Clubs/Committees submit applications. 3.District Grant Committee reviews applications and: a.Approves activity b.Allocates initial funding ($:$ match to club funds)

District Grants 4.District Grant Subcommittee Chair a. Advises clubs of Grant Allocation b.Enters details on TRF Website via Member Access c.Grant application submitted and DG, DRFC & DGSC need to authorize via Member Access. 5.TRF a. Approves District Grant b. Transfers funds to District Account 6.Clubs submit updated budget to DGSC. (only approved items will be funded)

District Grant Process 7.Clubs advised funds available a.undertake project b.Clubs submit: Bank statements Invoices & receipts Publicity & photographs District Grant Report Form for Annual Report 8.District Foundation Treasurer reimburses club 9.Grants Chair submits District Grant report via Member Access to Foundation 10.Annual Report Produced for distribution to Clubs at District Conference.

District Grants Stewardship Requires all records to be kept for 5 years. District Financial Records and Records will be audited by an external auditor. Clubs can be audited

District XXXX Rotary Foundation Seminar Global Grant Application Process 1.Club qualifies. –Submits MOU’s –Attends Grant Management Seminar 2.Club submits club-developed global grant proposal online, via Member Access. 3.TRF reviews proposal for initial approval. –Accepted proposals receive application form –Unaccepted are returned to club with explanation

District XXXX Rotary Foundation Seminar Global Grant Application Process 4.Club submits global grant application. –Complete application via Member Access –Submit completed Grant application 5.Grant coordinator reviews application. –Missing info supplied to grant coordinator 6.District approves online. 7.TRF reviews for final approval. –Partners receive approval notification

District XXXX Rotary Foundation Seminar Global Grant Application Process 8.Partners submit: –Contributions (cash) –Agreement forms –And payment information 9.TRF processes payment. –Subsequent payments processed after receipt of progress report. 10.Progress reports submitted every 12 months for life of grant.

District XXXX Rotary Foundation Seminar Global Grant Application Process 11.Final report within 2 months of grant completion. 12.Grant coordinator reviews report. –May request additional information 13.Final report approved & grant closed.

District XXXX Rotary Foundation Seminar Member Access

District XXXX Rotary Foundation Seminar Global Grant Reporting Progress report submitted 12 months after funds received Every 12 months until project is complete Final report submitted within two months of project completion If reporting is not current, District & Clubs not eligible for any grants.

District XXXX Rotary Foundation Seminar Packaged Grants Collaborations with non-Rotary strategic partners and Rotary-affiliated entities. Support the areas of focus. Can be scholarships, humanitarian projects, or vocational training. Rotarians are expected to participate opportunities will be published online. We have no details on these as yet.
