Trials and Temptations John Newton “Trials are medicines which our gracious and wise physician prescribes because we need them; and he proportions the frequency and weight of them to what the case requires.”

Trials and Temptations Purpose: Get Our Attention! “God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain…it is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.” ~ C.S. Lewis

Trials and Temptations Purpose: Discipline “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.” ~ Hebrews 12:6 (NKJV)
