2010 Year in Review Expenses at 103.2% of budget, no special assessments Improvements/changes: –New shed to protect irrigation pumps and provide storage Eliminated need to rent storage unit –First year with new tree/lawn maintenance company (Summer Lawn) New sprinkler control system Significant number of sprinkler pipe and head repairs (aging system) Experimenting with watering schedule to reduce tree damage and pedestrian inconvenience from over-watering –Attempted basic upkeep of vacant properties (e.g. watering) –New Neighborhood Watch representative: Marty Derow –New Newsletter editor: Sharlene Harvey –Suspended cash prizes for Holiday Light Contest this year –Cancelled National Night Out event – lack of interest
2010 Action Plan Review What we did versus what we said we’d do No increase in 2010 dues. None, but $10 increase for 2011 Seek ways to control HOA costs. Postponed improvements Stop over-watering common areas. In progress Investigate power washing HOA fencing. Postponed Investigate iron fence spot repair. Postponed Add two new trash receptacles. Postponed Improve Telemark-to-Hobble Creek pathway. Postponed Remove tree that is damaging irrigation pipes. Done
2011 Action Plan What we hope to do No plans to change current annual dues for –Should Holiday Light Contest $150 in cash prizes be tied to this? Consider single source for irrigation water (Sharvers) Investigate sidewalk snow removal. –Create a volunteer network? Consider improvements (pending sufficient funds): –Power washing HOA fencing –Iron fence spot repair –Add two new trash receptacles –Repair and improve Telemark-to-Hobble Creek pathway –Replace trees lost to weather and disease –Remove landscaping that is overgrown
