Rich mix of cultures here Each culture brought new foods, styles of music, and art This makes life more exciting and fun

First People Native Americans – They grew beans, squash, plants, hunted deer and used wild animals for clothing

Immigrants then and now They came here for a better life! Soon more and more people came and they called it “the new world” Settled in this region-NE

Ellis Island As the NE region grew –its people became more diverse-variety From people from other countries had to stop here before entering the US
