Ch 4.1 Slope (rise/run) Objective: To find the slope of a line when given a graph.

Definition Slope (m): rise/run When observing a graph, choose two points and count how many units up (rise) and how many units to the right (run) they are apart from each other. “Up” translates to positive units, “down” translates to negative units (in numerator) “Right” translates to positive units, “Left” translates to negative units (in denominator) Use when given a graph
