Advantages:Disadvantages: ELAR, SLAR, Math, & Social Studies have all Components available, including Assessments and Exemplar Lessons None of the components will identify R & S Standards, so teachers will not be encouraged to focus on R & S Standards for STAAR YAGs, TEKS Verification, and Lessons may have R & S Standards still in the 6 th six weeks units, which means they might be taught AFTER the STAAR/EOC assessments have already occurred IFDs will not emphasize the R & S in their bundling of TEKS or the Performance Indicators Assessments will not focus on the R & S Standards Science has no lessons or assessments Social Studies/History: Using the components will be using OUT OF DATE TEKS! CSCOPE Implementation Plan District: Campus: District CSCOPE Administrator: Campus Administrator: Content Area:  Science  Math  ELA  Social Studies Grade Levels : NON-NEGOTIABLES:NEGOTIABLES: Core academic teachers are required to consistently use the following CSCOPE documents in their instructional planning:  YEAR-AT-A-GLANCE (YAG)  TEKS VERIFICATION  VERTICAL ALIGNMENT DOCUMENT (VAD)  INSTRUCTIONAL FOCUS DOCUMENT (IFD)  UNIT ASSESSMENTS  PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Comments: The following CSCOPE documents are NOT REQUIRED, but core academic teachers may use them at their discretion:  YEAR-AT-A-GLANCE (YAG)  TEKS VERIFICATION  VERTICAL ALIGNMENT DOCUMENT (VAD)  INSTRUCTIONAL FOCUS DOCUMENT (IFD)  UNIT ASSESSMENTS  PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Comments:  EXEMPLAR LESSONS Teachers are expected to use the Exemplar Lessons:  Only in low data areas; How often? _________________________________  All Exemplar Lessons will be implemented Substitution of Activities in the Exemplar Lesson:  Teachers MAY substitute their own research-based strategies into the exemplar lessons as they see fit  Teachers may NOT substitute any activities and are expected to follow the exemplar lessons as they are written  EXEMPLAR LESSONS: Teachers are not mandated to use the lessons, but they are encouraged to use the exemplar lessons at their discretion 7
