By telling this story, Jesus is asking people to consider what they care about the most. Do they care most about how much money they have? Or do they care most about being close to God? Why Jesus told this story?

Those who truly love Him, who will have God's love flowing through their lives, which will motivate them to love people by showing compassion to people in need, such as Lazarus was when he was a poor beggar. People who are close to JESUS are:

In the Bible, there are three states of being: 1-needy, 2-having just what you need, 3-having more than you need. To be rich is to have more than you need. Those who have more are supposed to share with those that need so that all will have enough. What does it mean to be rich?

Money is very useful because we can use it to buy things we need. We can use it to buy clothes, food, and gasoline for our cars. But what if I tried to use it to buy my way into heaven as well. Do you think it would work for that?

No. What all we must do is not to have anything to love more than God. This could be popularity, friends, comfort, entertainment, money, or any number of things. Is it sinful to be rich?

Whatever we put first in our life is what we worship. God must be first in our life. This rich man put his wealth first.

The rich man was selfish; he was not willing to share even a little bit with the beggar. God wants us to love each other and share what we have with those in need..

1- with love of God within us. 2-With care for someone else's need. 4- with happiness. We must give with: 3- With our best giving.

HOW CAN WE BEST SERVE GOD ? Many of us are willing to serve God as long as it doesn't cost us too much time, effort, money, inconvenience or disruption to our lives! In fact, We will work late, play late, sleep late, party late, but not serve/seek Him into the late of the night !!!!.

How do i change?

JESUS can come into your life and change your heart, just ask him. If you will follow all his teachings. You will want to help others and share what you have with them. You will not be greedy and selfish. then JESUS will give you eternal life.

The truth is, if we wish to live apart from God during our time on earth, He will grant us our wish for eternity as well. What is the lesson we learned from this story?

1.What was the name of the sick beggar in the story? 2. What did the rich man do to help Lazarus? 3. Where did Lazarus go when he died? Who did he see there? 4. What did the rich man want Abraham to do for him? QUIZ TIME !!!

True or False 1-It is a sin to be rich. 2-God provides everything we have. 3-We can spend our money on whatever we want. 4-Riches are always a sign God is pleased with someone. 5-It is hard to be rich and still please God. 6-God knows whether we trust in Him or whether we trust in our money.
