Charles Darwin’s life Born in 1809 in England Studied Medicine in Scotland His friend and teacher Professor John Stevens Henslow invited Darwin on an adventurous trip on the ship called “HMS Beagle” Beginning in 1831, his voyage lasted 5 years Darwin had 10 children He died at the age of 73

The Beagle Journey

Darwin’s work During his voyage, Darwin collected and studied many plants, insects, birds and animals Every day he kept a diary He made lots of drawings Along the way, Darwin also met many native people of South America.

He went to the Galapagos Islands

To the Brazilian rainforest..

To Chile..

And then he wrote books.. The Origins of the Species The Voyage of the Beagle And many others!

His most famous work was.. About the origins of the species Darwin wrote that all species evolve and change over time And only the fittest species survive Even the Earth itself has changed over millions of years

Some people did not believe Charles Darwin But many scientists agreed that he made an important discovery Even today, his works are considered the basis for modern science
