District Designated Funds (DDF) District 6980 September 12, 2015 New Operational Funding Model (cont.)  Five percent of global grant cash contributions will be used to help cover the costs associated with these gifts.  Occasionally, the Foundation receives a large donation (over $500,000) from a corporation or foundation. Up to 10 percent of these gifts will be used to cover our operating expenses.  “This diversifies the Foundation’s sources of funding, making it less reliant on any one source.” — 31 —
