What has been done

Next steps

Phase 2 Safe Streets What are "safe streets"? Are our streets safe?... what do the various actors think? How can we all contribute to making our streets safer? This phase deals with "safe street education" and will develop an educative model based on a set of activities between the schools, the families and the community to introduce changes in the way safety - and street safety is perceived and ensured. This model will be based on a cooperation between all involved actors. The long-term goal is clear: provoke a change in the attitude towards safety in the community as a whole and to activate changes to create safe places and streets, initially, in the school vicinity. JANUARY – MARCH (2009)

Phase 3 RoSaCe week Increase visibility and support. In this phase local teams and schools systemise their results in order to communicate to the neighbourhood what’s been done and what can be done. All the RoSaCe actors present and celebrate their proposals for safe streets and new models for street safety education Parents and city officials are key actors. International collaboration is reinforced.
