Interesting Facts about Leo: Leo can be seen in the Northern Hemisphere in March, near the first day of Spring. You can see it until June. It is one of the thirteen Zodiac constellations. The pointer stars in the Big Dipper point to Leo. The Lion is named after a lion from Greek mythology. It was a lion that Hercules killed. Before the Greek astronomer Ptolemy named and identified the stars in the Leo constellation, the Babylonians and Persians both had their own lion constellations, which were similar to Leo.

Why I Chose Leo: I wanted a constellation that looked like the thing it was supposed to be. Leo looks like a lion. I wanted a constellation that would not be the same one that everyone else did, like The Big Dipper or Orion. Lions are my second-favorite animal.
