BalineseOrigin: Developed from litters of registered Siamese. Name derived from the South Sea Island of Bali. Recognized colors: Seal point, chocolate point, blue point, and lilac point. Personality: Warm, eager, inquisitive, and enthusiastic. Very vocal and persistent. Body & Size: Same body style as the Siamese except they are long-haired. Head, Ears, & Eyes: Similar to that of the Siamese having deep, vivid blue eyes. Origin: Developed from litters of registered Siamese. Name derived from Java. Recognized colors: Red, tortoise, and lynx point patterns. Colors on diamond- shaped mask, ears, legs, feet, and tail strongly contrast with the, even body color. Personality: Warm, eager, inquisitive, and enthusiastic. Very vocal and persistent. Body & Size: Same body style as the Siamese except they are long-haired. Head, Ears, & Eyes: Similar to that of the Siamese having deep, vivid blue eyes. Javanese

Body & Size: Large, tailless with moderately long hair. Front legs are short, balanced, substantial, and contrast with the higher heavier muscled hindquarters. Head. Like attention, purr loudly, intelligent, and outgoing. Body & Size: Medium to large size, body is short and compact. Head, Ears, & Eyes: Large head on short neck, nose is snub-like with good break; ears are set low; eyes are large, round, and expressive usually vivid blue. Persian Origin: Not known Recognized colors: Six groups for show purposes; many color combinations. Personality: Well mannered, easygoing, quiet, excellent companion and adapts well to apartment living. Body & Size: Medium to large and has a short, compact body. Head, Ears, & Eyes: Head is large with ears that are small and round tipped. Nose is short, broad, and stubbed with a deep break; eyes are large and round, giving the cat a sweet expression. Ragdoll Origin: In 1960’s developed, resulted from mating a white Persian and a seal-point Birman. Recognized colors: 4 common colors; seal point, chocolate point, blue point, and lilac point; and found in 3 distinct patterns. Personality: Docile, quiet, and composed, intelligent, and enjoys retrieving. Body & Size: Exceptionally large & heavy. Head, Ears, & Eyes: Moderately wedge-shaped head, ears are medium size; eyes are large, oval, and blue in color.

Somali Origin: Produced in 1960’s when Abyssinian parents carrying the recessive genes for long hair were mated. Recognized colors: 2 special colors: ruddy, an orange-brown ticked with black; and red, ticked with chocolate brown. Personality: Friendly, affectionate, companionable, playful, intelligent, and very active. Body & Size: Medium with characteristics the same as the Abyssinian, but with a medium-long coat and a fox-like, bushy tail. Head, Ears, & Eyes: Gold or green eyes. Turkish Angora Origin: Originally known as Ankara cats because breed originated in the province of Ankara, Turkey. Recognized colors: Originally only in white, but many colors and patterns exist. Personality: Polite, intelligent, responsive, easily trained to retrieve and perform tricks. It also is fastidious & prefers a clean, spotless environment. Body & Size: Small to medium with a long, slender, graceful torso on a light frame. Head, Ears, & Eyes: Ears are large and erect on a small to medium-sized, wedge-shaped head. Eyes are large, almond-shaped, and show radiant, deep color.
