Lesion Nematode Spiral Nematode Stunt Nematode Dagger Nematode Ring Nematode In contrast to soybeans, there are MANY types of nematodes that can damage corn. Corn nematodes occur in EVERY soil type, not just sandy soils. Changing production practices are escalating corn nematode populations and increasing their threat to corn production. Increased no-till and minimum-till farming Switch from in-furrow organophosphate and carbamate insecticides to pyrethroids and corn rootworm-traited corn More corn-on-corn crop rotation Facts About Corn Nematodes

Corn nematode damage is not rare, but it is frequently misdiagnosed as many symptoms can be attributed to other problems. Possible symptoms: More often than not, nematode damage may be impacting crop yield even if there are no visual symptoms present. Some species of nematodes may not cause economic injury on their own, but can interact with other problems, such as fungal pathogens and insects, to intensify corn yield loss. Small ears and kernelsStunted plants Root branchingSwollen roots Lack of fine rootsNecrotic lesions Uneven tasseling and plant heightLeaf yellowing and thin stands Corn Nematode Damage

Syngenta Seed Care randomly sampled three fields in each county in the Midwestern Corn Belt with at least 25,000 acres of corn Samples processed by five university labs and one private lab Mapping intensity by species and overall nematode numbers by county (nematode counts/100 cc soil or gram of root) Corn Nematode Mapping Project *Including Roots

A combination of Avicta ® seed treatment nematicide, an increased rate of Cruiser ® seed treatment insecticide (0.50 mg ai/seed) and the most robust seed treatment fungicide package on the market featuring Apron XL ®, Maxim ® XL and Dynasty ®. Offers corn growers the only triple protection against nematodes, early- season insects and diseases. Delivers convenient and complete triple protection during germination and stand establishment, which are critical corn production and yield setting periods. The Avicta Complete Corn components work together to provide greater protection against early-season pests to help each seed realize its full genetic yield potential. What is Avicta Complete Corn? Avicta ® Duo Corn is a Restricted Use Pesticide. For use by certified applicators only. Growers are not required to be certified applicators.

Promotes vigorous and healthy corn seedlings for increased stand, uniformity and vigorous growth Protects corn from a wide spectrum of yield-robbing nematodes Delivers proven protection against a broad variety of insect pests and early-season disease pathogens Provides an increased rate of Cruiser (0.50 mg ai/seed) for better activity and longer residual against harmful insects Five powerful active ingredients combined to provide superior nematode, insect and disease protection for optimal yield and profit potential Key Benefits Avicta ® Duo Corn is a Restricted Use Pesticide.
