What happened to the Phantom after he released Raoul and Christine? The Phantom just disappeared magically and was never seen again.

Discussion1: If you were Christine, what would you do to the Phantom at the end of the story? Would you kiss him?

Reference answer: If I were Christine, I might not dare to kiss the Phantom since he had a horrible face, with no nose and yellow eyes. I would probably be frightened to death.

Discussion 2: Why did the Phantom finally release Christine and Raoul?
