In Win 8 it’s available under “Windows 7 file recovery”.Windows 7 file recovery File History: In Windows 8, saves files in libraries, desktop, contacts & favorites, backing up changes frequently (e.g. hourly).

Windows 8 – Backup with file history daily or as frequently as every 10 minutes, and make a system image every month or two.
