Presentation transcript:

Luke 15: "When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.' 20 So he got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. (from New International Version)

1. Remember Luke 15:11-24 – The prodigal son returns My favorite scripture. What does this scripture mean to me? Look at the response of the father… Do we believe this? Do I believe this?

1. Remember 1 Cor 1:26-31 – Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. What keeps us from Remembering? What does the cross mean to you? Do you have a story to share with some one? When’s the last time you shared it?

1. Remember Mathew 20:1-16 – Kindom of heaven is like a landowner. This scripture either makes me struggle or makes me very grateful. It’s all dependent on perspective. Once I realize I’m the man hired at the 11 th hour.

2. Pay it Forward Mathew 18:23-35 – Kingdom of heaven is like settled accounts. Christianity is about passing on what God has given to us.

2. Pay it Forward I found a blog the other day that stated – “Why do Christians hate people like me?” I asked a question in one of the classes I taught “Do you fit in at church?” It was amazing the answers that I got. 1 Cor 12:12-30 tells us that the every part of the body belongs and none more important

2. Pay it Forward As Christians. As Gods people we need to do a much better job of showing Gods grace to each other. The Good The Bad What keeps me faithful

The Challenge 1. We need to keep reminding ourselves of God loves for us. 2. We need to show this love and Grace to each other and the world. John 13: All men will know you are my disciples by the love you have for one another. Let’s make our love different…
