For more than 870,000 of these returning Veterans Mental Health is the 2 nd largest illness 40% have sought treatment for Depression or PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) 60% have received minimal care or… … NO CARE at ALL

Miami-Dade is home for more than 66,000 Veterans from all Combat Eras  Apx. 14,000 of these residents have received the mental health support and services they required, however, 20,000 or more have not  Apx. 15,000 live below the federal poverty level …and every year…  1,500 are at risk of becoming homelessness while  1,100 veterans ARE homeless

Our Mission “To build a partnership of military and civilian service providers in SE Florida who honor the service of military personnel, veterans, and the sacrifices of their families, by providing comprehensive services to support achievement of their personal and professional goals.”

Our Services  Targeted Peer Outreach & Support  Innovate Programs, Direct Services, Community Education and Awareness Trainings (specifically designed to address the unique needs of Miami’s Military Community)  National & State Recognition of Veterans Link Up’s TEAM Model and leadership of the Miami-Dade Military Service Partnership (a coalition of federal, state, and local agencies working collaboratively to successfully serve active duty personnel, veterans and their families, in Miami-Dade County, since 2009)
