The Present Simple Use the present simple: to talk about things in general Teachers work in school. to talk about things that usually happen I usually go to Greece in the summer. to talk about things that always happen The shop opens at 8.30.

The Present Simple Remember to use the correct endings: I work/you work/we work/they work but he works/she works/it works I go/you go/we go/they go but he goes/she goes/it goes I open/you open/we open/they open but he opens/she opens/it opens

The Present Simple Use do/does (present simple) to ask questions: Do you speak Polish? Does he come here every day? Do we use this door? Does this bus go near the park? Do they come here often? Does she like coffee?

The Present Simple Use do/does (present simple) to ask questions with question words: Where does she live? How many do they want? What does he do? Where do they go on holiday? Which room does she use?

The Present Simple Use don’t/doesn’t (present simple) to make negative sentences: They don’t live here anymore. She doesn’t like tea. We don’t go to that school. It doesn’t work. I don’t speak French.
