Mission Statement  To provide high quality lawn, landscaping, and irrigation installations and maintenance to our clients.

The Team  President –The president president has 40 years personnel and budget management experience. He has been responsible for up to 150 employees and managed budgets in excess of 1.5 million dollars. The president’s strongest asset is his ability to liaison between divisions and outside agencies. Art is fluent in English and Spanish.

The Team  Operations Manager –Operations Manager has 10 years lawn and landscape experience with over eight years supervisory experience of 20 or more employees. He left his position as Operations Manager of Sample Business 1 in 2001 to start Sample Business 2. Sample Business 2 is a successful company with 14 employees and gross annual sales of $325,000.

The Team  Office Manager –Office Manager has 4 years lawn and landscape office management experience with Sample Business 2. Her specialty is on billing and collections. Sample Business 2 has an impressive pending receivables of 95% in under 30 days.

The Team  Field Superintendent –Field Superintendant has been with Sample Business 1 since its inception in He is well versed at managing multiple crews and field operations. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Market Summary  County X is the third fastest growing county in the United States. Most of growth is in recreational housing around Lake X. These consumers prefer to have their lawn maintained so that they have the freedom to enjoy their free time. These consumers expect high quality service and are willing to pay for it.

Business Concept  The President intends to purchase the assets, maintenance contracts and the name of Sample Business 1. Sample Business 1 is a 22 year old lawn maintenance company in County X. The company’s primary focus is on lawn maintenance. While this business is stable it has not grown significantly in the past few years due to the current owner’s lack of interest in expanding it’s customer base and services offered. The President plans to merge Sample Business 1 with Sample Business 2. This action will bring Operations Manager and his team of lawn maintenance and irrigation professionals into the fold. The combined company will Sample Business 1 more lawn maintenance volume as well as irrigation and landscape installation capability that it currently does not have.

Competition  Sample Business 1 is among the largest lawn maintenance companies in the County X area. Our size allows our company to provide products and services to our clients at a competitive price without compromising quality or profit.

Goals & Objectives  To Manage Sample Business 2 and Sample Business 1 with one team.  Combine office operations for both companies to reduce cost and increase volume.  Offer landscape and irrigation services to existing client base.

Goals & Objectives  Introduce ancillary service to existing clients such as holiday lighting, pool maintenance and fire wood.  Grow new clients through advertising, direct mail and referrals.  Look for permanent office/warehouse location within the next 24 months.
