Lifesaving System for Automated Information Transferring during Accidents P. Sai Kiran LBRCE

Motivation  Emergency Medical Care is critical in case of road accidents.  Providing accident information at the earliest possible moment to the Emergency service is a major factor for saving life as many accidental deaths are reported due to delay in emergency medical aid. LBRCE

Introduction  We propose a system which makes use of sensors attached to the vehicle to identify accidents through GPRS/GSM communication module.  The information is then automatically reported to the emergency numbers and also to the nearby vehicles.  In addition to this the system can be a life saver in critical situations as it helps in informing the accident to the nearby devices by using Waspmote Bluetooth Radio. LBRCE

Proposed Work  Identify the sensors required to detect all kinds of accidents.  Customize Sensors for detecting an accident.  Passing on Information to Emergency service.  Passing on the information using the vehicular ad hoc networks or broadcasting to nearby vehicles about the accident.

 Mentor  Subhajit Roy Choudary  IIIT Hyderabad  Mentee  LBRCE  Advisory Board  S.S. Iyengar,  O.B.V. Ramanaiah, JNTUH
