About Me By: Lisa Verbosky
Who I Am… I am originally from Erie, Pennsylvania and moved to Riverview, Fl when I was 8 years old. I am someone who loves to travel and one day wants to go on a hot air balloon ride. I am understanding, hardworking, and competitive.
3 Things You Need To Know About Me… I do not procrastinate on anything I have to do. I will begin working on an assignment as soon as I can, so I can get it done and off my mind. I will ask many questions if I do not understand something. I get frustrated quickly if I am doing exactly what I am told to do on a computer and things still go wrong and do not work properly.
Two Reasons I Want To Teach… I want to teach because I love children and want to make a difference in their lives. I want my students to learn something new about themselves and life in general. I want to teach because I want to make learning fun and interesting for students so they are excited to come to school every day.
One Surprising Thing About My Life… My family and I have been to Alaska for vacation. A lot of people have never been to Alaska and are surprised when I tell them I went there for vacation. During the summer Alaska is hot and only gets about 4 hours of darkness at night. I never saw it dark outside the entire time I was visiting Alaska. I was also able to see many different animals and climb many mountains. I absolutely loved my trip to Alaska and wish I could go back sometime soon.
Five Years From Now… In five years I see myself married and living in North Carolina teaching first or second grade. I also see myself going back to school to get my educational leadership degree. I want to one day become a principal of an elementary school and make an impact on the lives of many more children.
Goals for this year… Pass all the requirements in order to apply to graduate school. Get straight A’s both semesters. Save lots of money for graduate school!!
