Development visits Available for all centres Can be requested – to Costs £100 Seek permission from centre management before booking.

What is the purpose of a Development Visit? Discuss a specific framework Provide advice and support on –Delivery –Internal Assessments They are not intended to –Setting exams/assessments –Appeals

Prior Verification New framework will require new assessment instruments to be written New form for prior verification request under development All centres contacted in October 2010 regarding key dates for Prior Verification Currently free of charge Please consider sharing your AIs with colleagues in other centres

EV visits Most centres were contacted by December informing them of EV visits during this academic session Not a huge visiting EV level of activity EV part of your team

Network Events We are keen to have as many centres involved as possible. Appreciate that most centres are facing financial cuts Important to create and develop relationships with colleagues in other centres to ease the burden

A plea from me Any comments on HN Units or assessment exemplars should be made through the proper channels A HN Comment Form (for Unit specifications) can be found on the SQA website Please avoid ing or phoning me on my personal contact address/number SQA need to monitor comments to identify if there are issues with specific units/exemplars Trust your own judgement
